I am a scientist in the Scholes lab working on biological nanowires. Presently, I am working to understand how microtubules can be used to process electromagnetic information.
Ultimately, I have two goals: First, to repurpose biological nanowires as electromagnetic devices, aiming to develop new nanotechnology, and second, to examine how electromagnetic stimuli can influence intracellular biochemistry (and vice versa).
Research along these lines will advance a wide range of disciplines, ranging from medicine to materials science and nanotechnology.
